About Me

Hey there!I'm Max (he/they), a gay NB voice actor in Los Angeles with a remote ready home studio, and over 15 years of professional acting experience.Currently seeking representation.

When I was about 8 I saw a stage production of Kopit & Yeston's musical Phantom (Not the Andrew Lloyd Webber one) and when a little boy my age playing the role of the young phantom walked on stage I was struck by the realization that "I can do that!?" I've wanted to be an actor ever since and be a part of telling magical stories that move people towards compassion.I had been acting, singing and dancing professionally on stage for over ten years in musical theater, Shakespeare and contemporary plays when the covid shutdown occurred. I knew I had to keep acting, it was a part of me, so I started my adventure in voice acting. First, as a student of BlumVox Studios. I was drawn to Steve Blum's emphasis on bringing authenticity and truth to the work of voice acting. I then studied with (and eventually became an assistant for) Crispin Freeman at Voice Acting Mastery who taught me how to balance meticulous preparation with spontaneous results. Meanwhile, through Jennifer Hale's SkillsHub.life I have also had the opportunity to study with Sara Secora, Joe Ochman, Valerie Rose Lohman, and Melissa Grillo. And these are only a few of the mentor's I've gotten the chance to learn from.I have found that my stage experience, especially my strong dance and music background, has uniquely prepared me for the physical imagination and vocal control required to bring worlds to life through voice acting. I'm grateful for the growing number of roles in video games, commercials, & animations. Continuing to nurture joyful relationships everyday.
